 So I had gone AWOL from the internet for a while now. Nope, I haven't quite been vegetating. Au contrarie, I've been busy working on our TV series, Cocoman - The Animated Series. Yup, your's truly is in charge of spinning the yarn for that one! Now that I'm back again, lemme start making up to y'all by a couple of warm up sketches based on The Last of The Mohicans

The mystery cat

There he was, the lanky ol' bastard who knocked up my innocent lil' Jinxy (twice!!), sitting right there across the frontyard and shooting me a sideways glance. That is the closest he has ever come to saying hi. We call him Macavity, the mystery cat. We also call him Amitabh Bachchan, for his old-boy charms

Sweet child O' mine

She's got eyes of the bluest skies
As if they thought of rain
I hate to look into those eyes
And see an ounce of pain
Her hair reminds me of a warm safe place
Where as a child I'd hide
And pray for the thunder
And the rain
To quietly pass me by

Oooh la la!

Yamraj!

Here is a quick sketch that I did just to get into the mood while writing a chapter of Autopilot - A traffic novel. Of course, the Yamraj you see in the book is Sinu's design, which is a lot more stylized and looks nothing like this one. Nonetheless, here is my doodle for the day...so enough wacom-ing for now and off I go to my desk, papyrus, and fountain pen

And there he was, one of the greatest film-makers of our nation, sitting right across me quietly munching on a slice o' Pizza. For a brief moment before it dawned upon me, I thought I was looking at Albert Einstein... probably because pizza and Adoor Gopalakrishnan add up to a rather unlikely combination
